Follow the progress of painting through Renaissance Masters like Da Vinci and Raphael, to the Venetian School's Titian and Veronese, the Dutch Golden Age of Rembrandt and Rubens, past superstars of English art like Turner, all the way to the revolution of the Impressionists like Monet, Post-impressionists like Van Gogh and the Fauvists like Matisse.
Whether you are an art novice or an aficionado, we will guide you to the most important pieces in the collection and bring to life the story of the works and the artists, leaving you with a much deeper appreciation of the masterpieces in the collection.
Works to be seen (if not away on loan) include Da Vinci's The Virgin of the Rocks, Botticelli's Venus and Mars, Titian's Bacchus and Ariadne, Raphael, Rembrandt's Self-Portrait, Ruben's Minerva Protects Pax from Mars, Monet's Waterlilies, Cezanne's The Grande Bathers, and Van Gogh's Sunflowers.
Duration: 2.5 hours
Timings: 10am and 2pm everyday. Evening tour Friday 5:30pm.
